| After he was dragged to the court by Hollywood giant 20th Century Fox for copyright infringement, popular Bollywood producer Ravi Chopra is a relieved man these days.
The reason for Chopra's euphoria stems from the fact that the case is nearing completion and the filmmaker can go ahead with the release of his film BANDA YEH BINDAAS HAI that stars Govinda, Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen in the lead.
The filmmaker courted controversy when the Hollywood studio claimed that Chopra's film was a direct lift of their movie MY COUSIN VINNY and demanded compensation to the tune of Rs 7 crores. But now things seem to be working in Ravi Chopra's favour.
Speaking about the development in the case, Chopra says, ''I am quite relieved with the progress made in the case and expect a verdict in a week's time. The case is getting sorted out in our favour and we can go ahead with the release of our film now. Though we haven't decided the date of the release yet, but we will make a formal announcement regarding it very soon.''
It must be recalled that BR films last venture BHOOTNATH was a box-office dud and the makers have all hopes pinned on BANDA YEH BINDAAS HAI now.
