Will LOVE AAJ KAL do it for EROS?

EROS International, one of the premium worldwide distributors (and also producers), are all set to release their second major project within the same month. While 3rd July saw them distribute Sajid Nadiadwala's KAMBAKKHT ISHQ, today (the 31st July) sees EROS release Saif Ali Khan's first home production, the Imtiaz Ali directed LOVE AAJ KAL. It was generally believed that the Akshay-Kareena starrer KAMBAKKHT ISHQ would help EROS overcome the huge financial losses incurred through DRONA and YUVRAAJ, but it did not quite happen.

While KAMBAKKHT ISHQ has netted almost 49 crores for EROS from India (upto the third week and still running) and grossed $ 2.5 millions from UK and US, apart from good numbers from UAE and Australia, but it did not prove to be the runaway hit that it was expected to and is likely to end up as an above average performer for them, based on its worldwide run.
Thankfully, EROS now seem to be on a good pitch as their latest venture, the Rishi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, LOVE AAJ KAL, is expected to commence on a flying start across the multiplexes. The film sees one of the highest number of daily shows, which is likely to translate into extremely good collections.
Here's hoping for a super duper success for EROS International this time around!
