Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan UK celebrated a cultural week in London. Present on the last day of the festival, were film critic columnist and author Bhawana Somaaya who was invited from Mumbai to speak about her book 'Krishna-The God who lived as Man'. Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, the most extraordinary couple of Bollywood, were also present at the event.

Shabana Azmi who was in London for the shooting of Gurinder Chadha's IT'S WONDERFUL LIFE for the last two months read excerpts from the book in her strong and powerful voice that moved the audience to tears. Javed Akhtar who was on a holiday visiting his wife spoke about the magic and mystique of Krishna and recounted his experience of writing bhajans for Hindi films. For a week-day evening in London it was a packed auditorium filled with genuine Krishna devotees and admirers of Shabana and Javed Akhtar.
