Sohail Khan's 'Team' is entertainment with message?

This Friday saw the release of Sohail Khan starrer TEAM -THE FORCE. For those who came in late, this is yet another film which is being revived from cold storage with certain producers trying to sneak in their film into theaters at the time when the stand off between producers and multiplexes is still on. Directed by Ajay Chandhok [NEHLLE PE DEHLLA, KISSE PYAAR KAROON, (yet to be released) KHALBALLI - FUN UNLIMITED], this 'masala pot-boiler' could well have been released two years back but continued to get delayed over a period of time.

''And now when it is releasing even I am surprised'', Ajay affords to bring in a smile here as he silently looks at his multi crore flick arriving sans any promotion, ''I am sure the producers would have had the right reasons to bring it now. Also, I should not be commenting on the marketing strategy and promotional plans devised by them. I know I have made a good film and can now just hope that audiences do walk into theaters to watch TEAM - THE FORCE.''

Shot prominently in Mauritius, TEAM - THE FORCE (which was earlier titled JEET - FEEL THE FORCE) stars Sohail Khan and Yash Tonk in the lead along with Amrita Arora and Aarti Chhabria.

Ajay surprises though by announcing that his multi starrer flick also comes with a message. With a title like TEAM - THE FORCE which gives out clear indication of a full on action-n-masala outing, how does the messaging aspect come into picture?

''See, this is a commercial outing for sure but is different from my last release KISSE PYAAR KAROON which focused on only entertainment and nothing else'', Ajay goes on to explain, ''TEAM - THE FORCE entertains as well but there is a message in the context of things. There is an extortion angle to the story and you would be able to understand the connotation once you watch the film.''

TEAM - THE FORCE is about three friends (Sohail, Yash and Vajesh Hirjee) who want to make it big in the music industry and are staying with Kulbhushan Kharbanda and his family at their bungalow as paying guests. While Kulbhushan Kharbanda agrees to finance their own video album, he is threatened by an underworld don (Sayaji Shinde) who wants to extort money from him. What follows is a series of hilarious and action packed moments that promise to keep the pace high for TEAM - THE FORCE.

Also starring Mushtaq Khan, Sayaji Shinde and Shahbaaz Khan, TEAM - THE FORCE is produced by Manoj Chaturvedi and Sanjay Chaturvedi with music by Dabboo Malik.
