Shiney in judicial custody till July 2nd

B-town actor Shiney Ahuja, who has been arrested on charge of raping domestic help at his residence, is to be remanded to judicial custody till July 2. The news, in a way, is a relief for the actor as he can now apply for bail now and also appeal in a higher court.

Reports say that the decision of remanding him on judicial custody was taken by the Andheri court where he was produced at the end of two days of being in police custody. The actor has been booked for sexual assault and wrongful detention of his housemaid. Police say the medical report of the maid confirms sexual violation as well as coercion & they are keen on conducting a DNA test on the star - to get further leads in the case.
Meanwhile, a team of Mumbai police has gone to Roha in nearby Raigad district, the native place of the victim, to verify from her school whether she was a minor. Shiney's wife Anupam has shown unflinching faith in her husband who believes that he is being framed.
