With an influential storyline, celebrated star power, adrenaline pumping action Feroz Khan's QURBANI, way back in the 1980's, was a revelation of sorts! With the sudden demise of Feroz Khan, the remake of QURBANI looked like a distant dream. But according to the latest B-town buzz, Sanjay Dutt is all set to produce and act in the remake of QURBANI with Fardeen Khan essaying daddy dearest Feroz Khan's role and Sanjay reprising Amjad Khan's role.
Though QURBANI was supposed to be remade by Dutt's friend turned foe Sanjay Gupta with Saif and Fardeen in the lead, it seems that Sanjay Dutt has acquired the rights of the flick and will be producing remake of the same. With Soham Shah, Apoorva Lakhia and Sanjay Gadhvi being the top contenders, Sanjay Dutt is yet to finalize a director.
During the making of ALL THE BEST when Dutt and Fardeen bonded, Sanjay showed his keenness to remake QURBANI with Fardeen. And since Dutt wanted nothing more than rescuing the project from Sanjay Gupta, he happily agreed to produce the remake.
It's also heard that Bips who was also shooting with the duo, is being considered for Zeenat Aman's role. Wonder how KJO is to react with this news, who on a name dropping spree has zeroed upon QURBAAN (earlier titled as JIHAAD) as the finalized title for his film on global terrorism?
