Arshad misses his rendezvous with Simi Grewal!

The elegant lady-in-white, Simi Grewal, had shot for Anil Kapoor's SHORTKUT, as the host of her popular erstwhile chat show. Arshad Warsi, who plays Bollywood superstar Raju in SHORTKUT, had shot a scene where he appears on Simi's show as the celebrity guest and ends up chatting a whole lot of nonsense with her.

However, in the final edit, the scene was removed to keep the film's length under check. The running time of SHORTKUT is 130 minutes, which is the ideal length of a crisp comedy.
If the scene had been retained, Simi would have made a comeback on the big screen after over two decades. She was last seen in her directorial debut RUKHSAT co-starring Mithun Chakraborty and Anuradha Patel.
However, the producer and distributors have decided to incorporate the hilarious scene (among others) in the "Deleted Scenes" section of the film's DVD, which will release months after the worldwide theatrical release on 10th July.
