| Just last week Abbas Tyrewala (the lyricist) had been in the news for a song composed by Oscar winner, A.R. Rahman, from Shri Ashtavinayak's upcoming BLUE, featuring international pop star, Kylie Minogue and Akshay Kumar.

Without getting into that story we are reminded of our conversation with Abbas, the now super successful director of JAANE TU...YA JAANE NA and the upcoming project with John Abraham, 1-800 LOVE. On that occasion, we had asked him about the future of Abbas, the lyricist and whether his full time foray into direction (apart from scripting and dialogues) would mean the end of Abbas Tyrewala, the lyricist. The versatile filmmaker had been very specific with his reply -''I don't write lyrics for money. It's just a hobby and I will continue to write occasionally, to satisfy my creativity and of course for friends.''
Well said Abbas but we would definitely like to see more of your lyrical side as well as your beautifully directed and well scripted movies.
