This Bengali beauty with smoky brown eyes has enchanted movie goers with her blockbuster performances in films that have been both the usual, emotional roller coasters that Bollywood dishes out, as well as character roles that remain with the audience even after they've thrown away the tickets.
We are talking about none other than 'Khandala girl' Rani Mukerji, whose 5 feet-something frame packs enough talent to dazzle even the most stringent critic. With six Filmfare trophies to her credit and an assured position as one of silver screen's reigning divas, Rani has come a long way from her forgettable debut in RAJA KI AAYEGI BARAAT in 1996.
What began with GHULAM was a whirlwind film career that saw in its course poignant acting moments in landmark films like YUVA, SAATHIYA and BLACK. Her performance in mushy love dramas like KUCH KUCH HOTA HAIN and HUM TUM proved that Rani can not just emote beautifully, she can also sizzle on the big screen.
