Tusshar Kapoor: I told Prachi there is nothing wrong if we get cozy

On the sets of LIFE PARTNER, Prachi Desai had clear sets of rules and regulations for Tusshar Kapoor. The ones which were on the top of her list were a) You won't touch me; b) You won't try to come too close to me. Since Tusshar and Prachi play a couple in the movie, it was near impossible for the duo to not have any intimate moments together. Ultimately Tusshar sat down with her and had a long conversation which resulted in her becoming a little more comfortable than before.
Says a prominent crew member on condition of anonymity, ''For Tusshar, it was a precarious situation since he hadn't faced such situation before. He has been around for close to a decade now and has worked with numerous first timers as well as established actresses. However, in case of Prachi, he had to be extra cautious in front of the camera.''
Thankfully Tusshar plays Prachi's husband for most part of the film's duration due to which there wasn't much running around the trees or dancing in the clubs involved. Still, during the first schedule of the film, there were uncomfortable moments between the actors due to which director Rumi Jaffery had to intervene and instruct them to spend some more quality time together.

Laughs Tusshar when reminded about the incident, ''This was during our very first schedule and a honeymoon sequence had to be shot. Looking at Prachi's discomfort, Rumi Sir asked us to be at least friends off the camera as well. He made us have some dinners together so that we could open up further with each other.''
This comes as a surprise considering Prachi is quite close to Ekta Kapoor. Since his sister knows Prachi so well, isn't it natural that she shared a good relationship with him as well?
''This wasn't really the case'', reveals Tusshar, ''She did come to our house earlier as well but we didn't interact much. We seldom got into many conversations. I had to change my approach though once we started working together.''
So what exactly did he do to make her open up during the shoot of LIFE PARTNER?

''She is just a 20 year old girl yaar and a shy one at that'', he smiles, ''What could I have done other than wait for the passage of time? I tried talking to her and get into frequent chats. She was a lot into 'Don't touch me' and 'Don't get too close to me' mode.''
He goes on to conclude, ''Even though she may not have said so all the time, I could make out that she was uncomfortable. I reasoned with her that though off camera she could be the way she wants, once the camera is rolling, there is nothing wrong if we get cozy.''
Did Tusshar's words work for Prachi? Well, that would be there for all to see once LIFE PARTNER, which is produced by Abbas Mustan and also stars Govinda, Fardeen Khan, Genelia D'Souza, releases this June/July.
