With producers willing to release their films in single screens and select multiplexes, some small time films are willing to come out of cold storage and sneak into theaters on Fridays to come. SUNO NA, a film starring Tara Sharma, which has been ready for quite some time now, has also suddenly seen a revival of sorts and would be seen in theaters on 15th May. It would be coming with '99', which with all due credit, is a new project and was always in the fray to arrive in this time period when IPL is on.
''There are a couple of obvious reasons why SUNO NA is seeing a hasty release'', comments a trade insider, ''First and foremost it's the best time to arrive for any small movie since the ongoing strike means no big movie would be there for competition. Secondly, Tara is pregnant and is currently in her eighth month. Since SUNO NA also deals with the story of a pregnant mother, it makes sense to mix reel and real life of Tara.''
CHECK OUT: Cricket, betting and match fixing are major elements of 99
There is a difference though. While the central protagonist of SUNO NA, Tara Sharma, is shown as an unwed mother, in real life the pretty woman is happily married.
SUNO NA has an interesting aspect to it. In the film it is shown how Tara and her unborn child talking to each other (yes, you heard it right). In fact the child is shown to be inquisitive about a lot of things, including her father. How Tara decides to give move to a city, find work, give birth to the child, and start a new life is what forms the journey of SUNO NA.
With Tara as the only star attraction on SUNO NA, the film is produced and directed by first timer Amy Thanawala.
