Abbas Mustan turned producers with LIFE PARTNER but they handed over the reins of direction to Rumi Jaffery [who made his debut with GOD TUSSI GREAT HO last year]. Even though the 'men in white' were present on the sets for most part of the film making, they kept their observations to themselves without sharing their reactions in public. Of course, off line they did have a conversation with Rumi Jaffery about the way LIFE PARTNER was shaping up but when it came to filming, it was Rumi who called the shots entirely.

Agrees Tusshar Kapoor , one of the main leads of LIFE PARTNER, ''Abbas Mustan has not interfered in the making of the film at all. Instead, they were silent observers and would observe everything by sitting at a distance. They did know though about everything from how the shot was canned to how did an actor perform.''

CHECK OUT: I told Prachi there is nothing wrong if we get cozy

He adds on a lighter note, ''In fact they knew all the time that who was coming to the sets on time and who was late. Still, they had Rumi in charge of affairs all the time. Most of the times they didn't even come in front of the monitor even though they were present on the sets for 90% of the shooting.''

While the film makers weren't directly involved with the lights-camera-action do, they did provide Rumi with all the support that he needed during the filming of LIFE PARTNER.

''Abbas Mustan were always there as a mentor for Rumi. Their presence on the sets was only an added value for everyone associated with the film'', signs off Tusshar.
