Saif Ali Khan may be talking about LOVE AAJ KAL today but if one talks about yesterday, Saif has some skeletons falling off the closets. His near decade and a half old film, SANAM TERI KASAM, is for the nth time looking at making it to the theaters. Starring Pooja Bhatt (yes, you read it right) as Saif's love interest, the film was made during mid 90s when both the actors were just at the beginning stage of their beginning.

Earlier titled YEH PYAAR HI TO HAI, the film didn't take much time in its principal shooting but has been stuck ever since then. It also changed hands from producers as it moved from K.C. Bokadia to Ultra. The company is now yet again trying to release the film by (rightly) taking advantage of the current stand off between producers and multiplexes that has resulted in lack of films arriving in theaters.

CHECK OUT: Saif's diktat to Kareena

Incidentally, when the promos of the film were first released (during mid-90s), two of its tracks had turned out to be big hits. Tuned by Nadeem Shravan who had returned with Lawerence D'Souza once again after SAAJAN, these songs were 'Ye Pyaar Hi To Hai' and 'Ek Baar Ek Baar Pyaar Se To Bol'.

Over the years there were talks of the film finally seeing the light of the day but none of that sorts happened in spite of promos coming on air quite a few times. In fact there were also talks about DTD (direct to DVD) or DTH (direct to home) release but none of it materialized.

Now finally it seems that SANAM TERI KASAM may eventually get lucky and make it to the theaters. So will the film really manage to make it big with the audience? Well, guessing the answer would hardly be equivalent to breaking the Da Vinci code!
