PRAKASH MEHRA |
| Just recently, the Indian Film fraternity lost stylish, suave actor & filmmaker Feroz Khan and yesterday, it was truly a quirk of fate to know that the legendary filmmaker Prakash Mehra's soul departed from amidst us. The prolific filmmaker (69), who was unwell for a while now, died early (Sunday) morning of prolonged pneumonia and multiple organ failure.
CHECK OUT: PRAKASH MEHRA-Creator of a brand of angry young man bows out in anonymity
Prakash Mehra was the person who needs to be credited for creating the cult 'Angry Young Man' image of Amitabh Bachchan with his super-hit film ZANJEER. In the following years, the director-actor duo went on to give us several super-hit films such as HERA PHERI, LAWAARIS, SHARAABI, NAMAK HALAL, MUQADDAR KA SIKANDAR...to name a few
Absolutely intolerant of stars, Mehra never indulged in sycophancy and would often call a superstar a spade. It goes without saying, that this veteran filmaker will always be remembered for his blockbuster movies and superhit dialogues. We, at Glamsham.com wish to offer our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Mehra's family and pray that may his soul rest in peace.
