So, all those of you who thought that the versatile Kunal Khemu commenced his acting journey with Mahesh Bhatt's award-winning ZAKHM, where he played young Ajay Devgan and received tremendous amount of praise for his effective portrayal of the disturbed child, are in for a surprise.
Kunal's first tryst with acting took place as a small kid when he did a minor role in his parents' Doordarshan television serial, GGG (GUL GULSHAN GULFAM). After a few more television serials, the casting team of Mahesh Bhatt's HUM HAIN RAHI PYAAR KE saw him and he was formally introduced in the Aamir Khan-Juhi Chawla laugh riot, that went on to be good hit.

Kunal did a few more films like SIR, TAMANNA and DUSHMAN with the Bhatt banner. Later on he was fortunate enough to work with actor perfectionist Aamir Khan once again in Dharmesh Darshan's blockbuster hit, RAJA HINDUSTANI and also Sunil Shetty's runaway action hit, BHAI. But it was ZAKHM that proved to be the turning point in Kunal's career as it brought out the intense side of the young actor on-screen.
Kunal's career, has shaped up really well with his first film as an actor (adult), KALYUG proving to be a hit, and critically acclaimed films like TRAFFIC SIGNAL to his credit. With his latest release, 99, off to a reasonable weekend and positive reviews, Kunal definitely has a long way to go.
