Playing the macho hottie has been thrashed off this year, as B-Town heroes are all set to redefine the male lead's growing desire to do something that's starkly different. After SRK plays Rizwan Khan, ailing from Asperger's Syndrome in MY NAME IS KHAN, the heart throb of millions Hrithik is all geared up to prove his mettle as a paraplegic patient in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's forthcoming film GUZAARISH co-starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Reports doing the rounds hint that Hrithik plays Ethan, a radio show host while Ash plays a married nurse who is also Hrithik's caregiver. The film with dark tones, also deals with the controversial issue of euthanasia. Ash's character sparks off great interest with her playing a married madame who gets attracted to Hrithik as the second half progresses. Reportedly, the film bears resemblance to John Badham's WHOSE LIFE IS IT ANYWAY? & will show Hrithik moving around in a wheelchair for most of the scenes.
Looks like this time around, we would have to desert the desire to watch that chiseled body & dancer par excellence gyrate on celluloid thanks to this immobile avatar. All we can do is hope this challenging stint catapults Hrithik to stratospheric heights in Bollywood.
