RAJESH KHANNA | Yesteryear's legendary actor Rajesh Khanna will be awarded with the Lifetime achievement award at the 10th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) award ceremony in Macau on June 13. Khanna who gave hits like ARADHANA, KATI PATANG, ANAND & AMAR PREM is considered the first superstar of Indian cinema who with those naughty eyes, stylish shake of the head and enigmatic smile swept women all across India off their feet. So much so that girls frenzied in his love, would script letters with their own blood.
He has influenced an entire genre of romantic movies, creating a legendary persona that strikes a chord with his diehard fans even today. With this, IIFA will salute his exemplary journey in Indian cinema
In the past, IIFA has awarded Bollywood stalwarts like Waheeda Rahman, Asha Parekh, Yash Chopra, Dharmendra, Mumtaz and others for their exemplary contribution to Indian cinema.
