Ajay Devgan's upcoming ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE, being directed by Ashwani Dhir (of ONE TWO THREE fame), that also features Konkona Sen Sharma and Paresh Rawal, is under production and the USP of the film is its highly entertaining and humorous story line which is based on guests who overstay their welcome. Ajay Devgan and Konkona Sen Sharma play a middle class couple and Paresh Rawal, the unwanted guest. The story has been credited to the director Ashwani Dhir.

It's often that we hear that just before the release of a big film, an unknown writer or his family comes up with the claim that it is their work that has been plagiarized. Most of the time, the first thought that comes to mind is that it's a false claim wherein the main interest is monitory gain. But are the claims always false? Let us evaluate the case of ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE.

CHECK OUT: Ajay Devgn yet to lock on his next directorial outing

Without confusing our patrons we would like to disclose that Ajay Devgan's ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE is based on a story by almost the same name (TUM KAB JAAOGE ATITHI) by noted Hindi (satirist) writer, Sharad Joshi, and it's also in the current curriculum of one of CBSE's Class IX Hindi textbooks. The basic idea of Devgan's film is exactly the same and apparently this does not appear to be a co-incident.

Well, our advice to the makers is that if they have an arrangement with the writer's family, they should disclose it, and if not they should take permission and make this public, and credit the story to Sharad Joshi one of the stalwarts of Hindi literature to ensure a smooth release and avoid eleventh hour release hiccups!
