Contrary to the recent news reports of Ajay Devgn's ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? being inspired by a Hollywood flick, the film is neither a remake of any Indian or International film but is actually based on TUM KAB JAAOGE ATITHI, a short story penned by noted satirist Late Sharad Joshi for which the rights have been purchased.

Amita Mangat, producer of ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? refutes any allegations, "We haven't yet revealed any First Look or Poster of the film, but only a working still of the film. It may look similar to the poster of a Hollywood film but beyond that, there aren't any other similarities."

CHECK OUT: Warner Bros. to release Ajay's ATITHI TUM KAB JAOGE?

“What interested us most was the originality of the script. Based on a short story by Sharad Joshi, it is a refreshing and humorous take on something we have always faced in our lives - a guest that never leaves!" says Denzil Dias, Deputy Managing Director (Theatrical), Warner Bros. Picture India.

ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? is the story about an unwanted guest who enters the household of a married couple and lives for a long duration by continuously extending his stay. So much so, that the couple is exasperated and starts praying for his exit. While Ajay Devgn and Konkona Sen play the part of a married couple, Paresh Rawal is the uninvited guest.

The film is produced by Warner Bros. Pictures India and Amita Pathak under her banner Wide Frame Films and is directed by Ashwni Dhir.

The Music for the film will be composed by Pritam with choreography by Raju Khan, while the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil.

To be shot over 50 days at Yashraj Studios and other locales in Mumbai, the film is slated to release on 26th February 2010.
