Priyadarshan: I can never recreate DE DANA DAN

| DE DANA DAN has released to a good audience response and Priyadarshan, who was always extremely confident about the film's prospects, is having the final laugh.
"I knew that the film had in it to entice audiences by dozens. DE DANA DAN too cuts across all segments. It doesn't just cater to A class centres or multiplexes. It is for everyone", he says.
Even his lesser known but equally successful HUNGAMA and HULCHUL are known to feature dozens of actors running around quite frantically on screen. Now we see something similar in DE DANA DAN as well.

"There are 26 characters this time around in DE DANA DAN and I would be the first person to say that I can never recreate the kind of ultimate confusion as evident in the film", says Priyadarshan who has made over 60 films in his 25 year career as a film maker, "This is a kind of film which doesn't talk story; it talks incidents. The entire film is a situation which is actually its USP."
He continues, "DE DANA DAN is one of the most interesting movies that I have made. It is a good exercise for the heart in the way it has been scripted. You can't miss a single moment. If you sneeze, you would miss a shot and you would have to watch the film all over again."
This time around, there have been no allegations around Priyadarshan remaking his own film though.
"Yeah, fortunately that has not been the case. DE DANA DAN is not a remake, just like the way one of my favourite films MALAMAAL WEEKLY wasn't", he says, "These things don't matter eventually. What finally matters is that people should enjoy the film and producer should make his money."
