Suniel Shetty: DDD has characters other than HP trio

DE DANA DAN has released and as is quite clear now, the film is not just about the HERA PHERI trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. There are at least half a dozen odd characters (played by Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Joshi, Neha Dhupia, Asrani, Shakti Kapoor) who make a difference to the plot of DE DANA DAN, hence making it different from HERA PHERI.
Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty doesn't deny the fact that the focus would be on the coming together of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and himself.

"For that there is a definite camaraderie which required to be brought into account", reflects Suniel, "However, I must admit that HERA PHERI was a lot about Akshay, Paresh and myself whereas DE DANA DAN has quite a few other important characters as well. For example, if one looks at Priyadarshan's HUNGAMA, it had lot more than only Akshaye (Khanna) or Aftab (Shivdasani). There were so many other characters who kept the narrative moving."
Still, audiences have been enticed primarily because of the return of the HERA PHERI team; something which is the USP of DE DANA DAN.
"That's right", says Suniel Shetty, "And I must admit that Priyadarshan is in his complete element this time around. After HERA PHERI, this is easily his best work till date. I have myself worked with him in YEH TERA GHAR YEH MERA GHAR, HULCHUL and CHUP CHUP KE since HERA PHERI. But I know that this is his finest film since HERA PHERI. He has gone a level above this time around."
