Noted filmmaker Onir Onirban, who is known for his hard hitting films is all set to don a new role. This time the filmmaker will be a special guest across various universities in the US to screen his forthcoming film I AM and have discussions revolving round the film.

I AM is an anthology of films that Onir has made and is scheduled to release in India by April 2010. Onir, who recently shot a portion of his film in Kashmir, is already kicked about the response his stories have been drawing from various quarters.

Talking about his US trip, the filmmaker says, 'I have been invited to screen my film I AM across various varsities in the US. The screening will be followed by discussion with the audiences that will help bring out the issues talked about in the film to much closer levels.'

I AM, is almost in the completion stage and the film is bound to herald the flavor of the thinking cinema back into the public domain.
