Actor Emraan Hashmi has gone ahead and upset the team of one of his biggest forthcoming releases, Kunal Deshmukh's TUM MILE by revealing his look in the film much ahead of the planned strategy.
Sony Music and Kunal Deshmukh including Mahesh Bhatt had made a detailed marketing strategy for the film according to which, the revelation of some pictures of the film was slated to happen at the time of the music release on 16th September 2009. Though the strategy was discussed with the entire team, but due to some miscommunication, Emraan in all his excitement and pride for his new avatar went ahead and uploaded the images on a Social Networking Site. Now the situation has gone so worse that the Producers had to cancel the plans of Music release as Kunal & Emraan are not even ready to stand together with each other. So, the music will be now in stores without any Launch Party.
Emraan & Soha's unconventional pairing, Emraan's never before seen clean & chocolate look and Emraan on the sets of chest deep flood are the photos which had been kept in secret by Kunal Deshmukh & Sony Music and planned for a huge revelation at a major function, but all in vain now. Stepping away from his usual on-screen persona which has grey shades, Emraan tried something different for good friend Kunal and went for the 'boy-next-door' meets 'lover-boy' look. A look, which he has recently revealed on the popular social-networking site, much to the Director Kunal Deshmukh's disappointment.
Emraan who was clueless of the exclusivity of the images has now got on the bad side of KD, who made a very public statement recently about his displeasure to his films novelty wearing off to an extent. ''We had an entire marketing plan to release these unique visuals on the films music release so that it stands out from the usual affair. We didn't want it to be just another party were people meet, greet and leave. I am quite disappointed at this sudden turn of events and will have to have a serious talk with both Emraan and the Bhatt's.'' Said the upset Director. ''I think the actors in our industry will have to get out of this me, myself and I Syndrome.'' He further added.
Emraan on the other hand was unaware of all the hype that is being created on the issue. On asked what he felt about what's happening he said, ''I am quite surprised as to why such a fuss is being created out of such a non-issue. First of all I wasn't aware of any such clause which barred me from revealing my look and second I don't see the reason for anyone to make such public statements when this matter could easily be resolved behind closed doors.'' Emraan is obviously very passionate about his work and has taken it to heart how some people are saying that he's heavily into publicity gimmicks.
Since the promotions of TUM MILE are starting and the entire team needs to be together for this, the altercation is proving a huge barrier. As things stand today, both the men are finding it difficult to even stand under the same roof let alone on the same stage. Only time will tell if the once un-breakable friendship between Emraan and KD will go through any further turmoil or whether they will bury the hatchet and finally have a proper meeting about the further plan of action.
