Akshay to further heat up KKK in coming weeks

'Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2' is in its second week and if audience response is anything to go by, this may well turn out to be one of the hugest reality shows of the season. With Akshay Kumar taking complete charge of the show, 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' has embarked on a huge start, as confirmed by the numbers that have just come in. With a huge marketing push continuing to ensure that there would be enough eye balls for the show in days to come, the content is also all set to become spicier, as promised by the channel 'Colors'.
Says Ashwini Yardi, Programming Head, Colors, "Akshay has always had a huge fan opening and we are now witness to that again with 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. Moreover, he is going to further heat up the show in days to come as he will be doing a lot more stunts himself."
Elaborating on the intense marketing plan for the show, Ashwini says, "We have taken 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' all over. In Barista there is a coffee by this name. We even have a tie up with Indian Railways where there are special announcements being made around the show. Even at traffic signals, there are guidelines around 'no honking', 'no jay walking' etc. that have been sponsored by 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. And by the way, all this is over and above the regular billboards and other conventional promotional means."
Unlike number of other reality shows, 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' doesn't involve voting as a tool for a participant to be eliminated.
"That could be a good tool to spice up affairs but we don't have any of that in our show", says Ashwini, "Still, we are sure about keeping audiences interested in day to day proceedings through our strong content and other means of elimination. In coming weeks, you would see how each girl will turn out to be a character in herself. There would be a lot of personal traits which would be out in open. This is where audiences will start interacting with the participants on different levels since there are bound to be favourites then."
