After a forgetful LAMHAA, Sanjay Dutt has his eyes set on his forthcoming film KNOCK OUT, which also stars Irrfan Khan and Kangana Ranaut. The film is directed by Mani Shankar, who has films like 16 DECEMBER, RUDRAKSH, TANGO CHARLIE and MUKHBIR to his credit.
Sanjay had a tough time shooting for the film. He recounts, "When Mani narrated the script, I thought it was amazing. When we actually went to shoot, it was an experience for me. I had to speak to nobody in front of me. There was no Irrfan in front of me to react to what I was saying. I had to be in one room for almost 30 days speaking to nobody. I had to just imagine Irrfan and I had to deliver my dialogues."
CHECK OUT: Sanjay, Kangana & Irrfan to KNOCK OUT on 15th October
The character that he's playing is tough from outside but vey soft inside. That's pretty much like him, innit? "I don't know. That's what everybody says about me, including my wife (Maanyata). I think she's tough outside and tough inside."
It was said that Sanjay actually helped Irrfan to dance in the film. He quips, "I didn't teach Irrfan how to dance. I feel shy to dance myself."
KNOCK OUT also stars Gulshan Grover, Sushant Singh, Apoorva Lakhia and Rukhsar. It's all set to hit the big screen on 15th October 2010.
