'Munni' could have been in PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA

From the three releases of this week- KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY, PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA and RAKHT CHARITRA 2 - the film that is surprisingly getting maximum universal acclaim and audience appreciation (from the limited numbers who have seen it!) is the Subhash Kapoor directed PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA.

Without getting into the contents of the film one was curious to know about the lack of songs in PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA and the director had a very interesting answer! Kapoor says that he could have incorporated a 'Munni Badnam' or for that matter a 'Beedi Jalaile' in PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA, but then people would have accused him of copying! And so he went ahead and shot just one song for the promos.

Interesting one must say and given the praise that PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA is garnering, we are convinced that Subhash Kapoor did the right thing.
