Farah Khan: Film production is like owning real estate!

The two films that Farah Khan directed, the super hit MAIN HOON NA and the all time blockbuster, OM SHANTI OM were produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. Despite big success as director Farah Khan turned producer (jointly with Akshay Kumar's Hari Om Productions and UTV Motion Pictures) with her next TEES MAAR KHAN. Her production company is aptly called Three's Company because of her children who as most will know are triplets.

When asked by the press her reasons on turning producer, the intelligent director showed that she was worldly wise too. Farah stated that when one directs a movie it does not belong to the director who can only benefit from the praises and accolades that the film gets, and all the material benefits goes to the producer. Farah went on the explain her stand saying that producing a film is like owning a real estate, the film that one produces becomes a solid asset for the children/family to benefit from in future and so in a way TMK is like a private property of her children and that is why she has named her production company Three's Company.

Certainly for Farah family comes first, and we now know why she is so very successful!
