Suriya reveals his apprehensions about RAKHT CHARITRA

A trilingual, RAKHT CHARITRA 2 has been shot separately in its Tamil, Telugu and Hindi version. However, principal actors like Suriya and Vivek Oberoi have been kept intact though they have brought in slight changes in body language, dialogue delivery and mannerisms to bring in a cultural difference in the scene presentation.

"It wasn't an easy thing for me to deliver my dialogues in Hindi," says Suriya who was initially reluctant to dub himself for the Hindi version of RAKHT CHARITRA 2, "I shared my apprehensions with Ram Gopal Varma. He did hear me out and asked me to enact a couple of scenes with Hindi. The way I spoke, he okayed that and said that it was going well with my character and the film's setting. He didn't have any issues with that and I had to continue with the dubbing for the entire film."

All of this meant that Suriya had to get a crash course in Hindi and do his best for the film. In a way, he was prepared for it as well as language was never a barrier for him before he consented to play the protagonist in the Hindi version of RAKHT CHARITRA 2 as well.

"What has always been of paramount importance to me is that the character I play in the film and who is directing it should be terrific," says Suriya about the career choices that he is making, whether in Hindi or Tamil cinema, "In case of RAKHT CHARITRA 2 and Ram Gopal Varma, both aspects worked. I wanted to work with him for the longest time possible and the script of RAKHT CHARITRA 2 was too tempting to be ignored. I don't know though whether tomorrow I would be working in yet another commercial film or a multi/solo starrer."
