Aamir's latest acquisition, another SRK project?

Aamir Khan signing Excel Entertainment's Reema Kagti (HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD.) directed project not only made headlines but it also gave his countless fans a reason to rejoice and look forward to another memorable performance and hopes of another super hit film in their favourite actor's kitty.

However, what will come as a surprise and may be as a pleasant co-incidence is the fact that very much like Aamir's last release, the all time blockbuster hit, 3 IDIOTS, Reema's film was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan. Those well versed with Bollywood happenings will know that Rajkumar Hirani/Vidhu Vinod Chopra had first offered the role enacted by Aamir Khan in 3 IDIOTS to Shah Rukh Khan, but they had some creative differences (as cited by SRK himself), and so things did not materialize. Aamir gladly stepped in and rest, as they say, is history, and indeed history was made with the humongous success of 3 IDIOTS.

In fact, Anurag Kashyap (the dialogue writer of Reema's next), who was supposed to direct the film initially, had first approached SRK to play the lead, but nothing materialized during the meet. And after that it was offered to Aamir, who too, after quite a lot of deliberations, signed on the dotted line.

One Khan's loss another Khan's gain, yet again? Well, let's wait and watch; only time will tell!
