The truth behind Akshaye's special appearance in TMK

It appears to be a game of Chinese whispers being on. From one source to another, Akshaye Khanna has pretty much conveyed that his presence in TEES MAAR KHAN, a film that releases after his NO PROBLEM, is that of a mere special appearance. He is claimed to have insisted that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are the real stars of the film and hence audience should have the right expectations about his part in the film.

However, quiz director Farah Khan about this and she sounds perplexed with what her actor has to say.

"I am aware about Akshaye stating that he is doing just a special appearance in the film. But then for a film which was completed in around 55 days, he has shot for 21 days. Now tell me, how does that make it a special appearance", she questions.

In this caper flick, Akshaye Khanna plays the role of a superstar who is madly in hunt of a Hollywood award. His dream came closer to being true when a series of events lead him to live his biggest acting assignment ever.

It is a known fact that when it comes to Bollywood, majority of actors go gaga even if they have a small part to play. However, in case of TEES MAAR KHAN and Akshaye Khanna, it is nothing less than surprising to see a reverse happening. While the makers are crediting Akshaye to the fullest despite two superstars (Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif) on board, the actor in question is pretty much happy being oblivious to that.

"Well, all I can say is that Akshaye doesn't realize it yet but he is the second most important character in the film. I am sure when the film releases, he too would agree that it is more than just a special appearance", signs off Farah.
