Kareena: I can predict the fate of my films

If Kareena Kapoor is to be believed, she can pretty much sense the fate of her films beforehand. She may not be mentioning the names of those films of hers (shall we count MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA?) that she knew wouldn't work at the box office. However, when it comes to her successes, most recently being GOLMAAL 3, she knew that it would be a roaring success.

"With the kind of experience that I come with in the industry, I guess I am intelligent enough to tell which of my films would work at the box office and which ones won't", says Kareena, "Once I have seen the film in a trial, I can well predict the fate of my films."

While GOLMAAL 3 actually exceeded her expectations, what does she have to say about her last film WE ARE FAMILY which didn't quite set the box office on fire.

"It was never expected to be a blockbuster to begin with", she defends, "The film didn't quite belong to the genre that would have attracted a wide range of audience. Every film comes with his own 'kundli' and WE ARE FAMILY had its own. I knew that and so did Karan (Johar), hence the film was made in a certain budget. I am not the kind of actor who lives in her own ivory tower. I am pretty attached to reality."

Well, with a mighty busy 2011 ahead in the form of RA. 1 (Shah Rukh Khan), AGENT VINOD (Saif Ali Khan), BODYGUARD (Salman Khan) and (tentatively titled) SHORT TERM SHAADI (Imran Khan), her prediction skills could well come in handy for her co-stars and the makers!
