Neha: I am not knocking the doors of film makers

In the entertainment industry for a decade now, Neha Dhupia has craved for striking a balance between commercial and offbeat films. However now, after being around for long, doesn't she feel that she could become more aggressive with her career?

"I don't know really," says Neha after a brief pause, "I have to actually see what comes my way. I am not going around knocking the doors of makers here; after all I have been around for a good time now and film makers have seen my work. I am looking for some great scripts that I can say yes to. No, I am not overtly fussy about things but then I won't jump into something just for the sake of it."

When asked if her role in her upcoming release PHAS GAYE RE OBAMA (where she plays a dacoit by the name of 'Munni Gangster') sees her hogging the limelight from first till the last frame, Neha says, "My policy is to never carry many expectations before a film of my releases. In my heart I would always know whether I would end up making an impression or not. Still, I never get into any declaration mode."

She could well be referring to ACTION REPLAYY where she had a miniscule role to play. Now that must be disheartening, especially so since in her last two outings with Akshay Kumar - SINGH IS KINNG and DE DANA DAN - she had actually managed to make a good impression despite playing a second lead to Katrina Kaif.

"Well, I didn't have any idea about how the final product would turn out to be and just go ahead with my instincts. I never measure my role and leave it to the audience to pass their judgement," says Neha rather diplomatically.

Well, with some international acclaim that 'Phas Gaye Re Obama' has gained in festivals abroad, one does hope that this time around audience have a favourable judgement to pass on Neha.
