Vipul Shah: Aishwarya is not a Diva

In his short but successful career so far, Vipul Shah has worked with Miss Universe Sushmita Sen [AANKHEN], Miss World Priyanka Chopra [WAQT] and totally adorable Katrina Kaif [NAMASTEY LONDON]. Now in ACTION REPLAYY, he has worked with yet another beauty queen who is none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan herself who has won the crown of Miss World.

For someone whose films have a rooted appeal to them was Vipul ever inhibited by the fact that he was working a Diva?

"I think this entire 'Diva' thing attached to Ash is just a media perceived image", Vipul negates the insinuation here, "She is still a very simple girl at heart and really, you don't even have to scratch the surface for that. All this success and glory has not touched her at all even till date. She is just as simple as she was when she had started off years ago."

Happy with the way he could get the pairing of Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai turn out to be so fantastic for his love story, Vipul says, "There was no fuss at all when both Akshay and Ash were working with each other. It was a simple friendly environment on sets."

Recollecting the tiring conditions in which the film was shot, Vipul continues, "We were working in 50 degrees temperature while ironically the scenes that were being shot were those that required both Akshay and Ash to be in an out and out romantic mood. What was important was that they got along so well with each other. Typically when that is not really the case, it shows on screen. However, in ACTION REPLAYY, it all went off very smoothly. I am sure that wouldn't have been possible if Aishwarya would have thrown even the slightest of hints for being treated as a Diva."
