Amit Trivedi: There is no success formula in Bollywood!

Basking in the glory of receiving the highest honour, the National Award for his debut film DEV D, composer Amit Trivedi is a very happy and satisfied man. However when one asks him if he was expecting the coveted award, Amit has an answer that is baffling to say the least!

The composer reveals that the award was most unexpected. In fact he reveals that while he was composing for DEV D, he was not even sure of how the audience would react to his kind of music. Amit adds that at times he even had this feeling that DEV D would turn out to be his first and last film because he was not sure whether his music would be appreciated or any maker would like to work with him in future.

When queried about the formula for the success of his 'hatke' music, Amit say - Honestly that there is no set formula for success in Bollywood and if the time and fortune is in your favour, whatever you do becomes that 'mantra' and formula for success! The extremely frank Amit also adds that he still feels that he has a lot to learn and so he is looking for a mentor, a 'guru' who could teach him the intricacies of music.

Well, that's a very humble and frank revelation from Amit and we hope he will find his 'guru' and keep entertaining us with more with his kind of music.
