Akshay: ACTION REPLAYY is not a slapstick comedy

This year, Akshay Kumar has been seen in two films - HOUSEFULL and KHATTA MEETHA. While HOUSEFULL was a riotous comedy and a huge hit, KHATTA MEETHA had quite some drama to it and was an average fare. Now that Akshay would be seen in ACTION REPLAYY, the film is expected to be an altogether different outing with music and romance playing a big role in keeping the entertainment quotient intact as well.

"ACTION REPLAYY is wholesome entertainment and has something for everyone. The tone is light but there are moments that will tug at your heart", says Akshay when asked if his latest release is an out and out light hearted affair or has something extra special to offer as well.

Time and again it has been seen that when it comes to humour, Bollywood flicks end up taking a slapstick route. Thankfully in case of ACTION REPLAYY, it seems different though. While presence of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan of course promises a much more sophisticated outing, film maker Vipul Shah too seems to have kept his sensibilities of a matured film maker intact, something that can be expected from him after flicks like AANKHEN, WAQT and NAMASTEY LONDON.

"Well, ACTION REPLAYY is definitely not a slapstick comedy. Yes, it is lighter only in its tone but is basically a love story in its heart. Also, it has its own dose of drama. Like his previous three films with me, Vipul has struck a beautiful balance in ACTION REPLAYY as well", assures Akshay.

The film releases all over on 5th November.
