PVR acquires theatrical rights of ACTION REPLAYY

PVR Pictures Limited, the film production and distribution arm of PVR Group announced its association with director Vipul Amrutlal Shah as India distribution partners for his film ACTION REPLAYY. Based on a 1994 Gujarati Play of the same name, ACTION REPLAYY is a romantic comedy with Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar as its main lead. It also happens to be the fifth film between Akshay Kumar and Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

Announcing the same, Kamal Gianchandani, President, PVR Pictures said, 'ACTION REPLAYY is a huge film with an enviable star cast and a very successful director at the helm. We are incredibly excited and feel honoured to be chosen as the India distributor by Vipul for his film.'

Commenting on the occasion, Vipul Amrutlal Shah said, 'I am delighted that our creative partnership with PVR Pictures has led to this agreement of ACTION REPLAYY being released across India by them. PVR Pictures is a new-age studio with a wide distribution network and I am glad to have found a strong partner. I look forward to a long and fruitful association with them.'

ACTION REPLAYY also stars Neha Dhupia and Randhir Kapoor and has music composed by none other than Pritam Chakravarthy.

The movie is a time-travel comedy tale capturing Mumbai in the 50's - about an elderly man who travels back in time. The movie with its retro-feel has already won thousands of hearts.

It is slated for a Diwali release this year (Nov 5th).
