Jimmy speaks about his first supernatural flick

If there is one film maker for which Jimmy Sheirgill is really going gung-ho after a long time, it is first timer Hemanth Madhukar. The debutant director has called the shots for A FLAT, a horror flick that also stars Sanjay Suri other than Jimmy Sheirgill.

"The concept which Hemant brought to me was something really amazing", Jimmy sounds animated here, "He was on a visit to Himachal (Pradesh) and on his return, he was dying to share this idea with me about a man who gets trapped in his own apartment. While this character first assumes this to be a technical issue with his doors and windows, he soon realises the supernatural and paranormal forces at work."

Though Jimmy has earlier worked in a horror flick CHHODON NAA YAAR, this is for the first time when he has gone the whole hog when it comes to a scary outing. "I would say that A FLAT is my first ever supernatural horror film. This one is far more proper than my earlier flick."

Audience would have to wait though for a while before catching the flick. Though originally scheduled for an October release, the film has now been postponed to 12th November to avoid the clutter of releases in the current season.

"One can't plan such things even if one wishes to", shrugs Jimmy, "(Producer) Anjum (Rizvi) had got all the theaters booked but due to moving ahead of ANJAANA ANJAANI, everything got impacted. I don't mind arriving later though; after all now we get time for some more promotion in coming weeks. Whether it was my earlier film CHARAS or HAASIL, Anjum has always released his films well. A FLAT should not be an exception."

Earlier seen this year in MY NAME IS KHAN, some of the upcoming Bollywood films starring Jimmy are GAME (thriller) and JOHNNY MASTANA (drama).
