The entire nation is on a high and has taken a day off to watch the World Cup final but the only one exception is Hrithik Roshan. The actor will be shooting for the adapted version of the 1990 hit AGNEEPATH. Hrithik had allotted his dates months in advance and till two days back no one knew that India would be in the finals today and the country would come to a stand still. It must be recalled that Hrithik had given a miss to the crucial World Cup's semi-final match between India and Pakistan for the same reason.
Hrithik himself loves cricket and like everyone in the country he is a huge Sachin Tendulkar fan. At first there was even idea that he could go to Wankhede stadium to watch the finals but he negated it. Knowing Hrithik's love for the game producer Karan Johar, asked Hrithik if would like to take a day off to watch but the professional actor said a firm, 'NO.'
Over 400 junior artistes are on the huge set that has been constructed for the sequence. The producer would incur a huge loss running in lakhs if a day's shoot was cancelled. Though Hrithik appreciated Karan's gesture he also understood the money that would be wasted. He didn't want to be the money responsible for wasting Karan's money. Of course the junior artistes and the other daily wage earners were thrilled with Hrithik's gesture. And to forget the producer himself who now can't stop gushing about his friend.
