Mallika Sherawat's 'Razia' is currently blazing across all music channels as the film THANK YOU gets ready for release. The song was forever been touted to be the next big one after Katrina Kaif's 'Sheila Ki Jawaani' and Malaika Arora's 'Munni Badnaam'. However the makers here are not too keen about all the comparison, especially with director Anees Bazmee insisting that THANK YOU should be looked at in entirety instead of being a film which is known just for it's solitary item number. 'All I can say is that 'Razia' is a good song and is deservingly the chartbuster it is turning out to be. However there should not be any comparisons with 'Sheila' or 'Munni'. When we conceptualised the song, our attempt was not to compete with other item numbers. We just wanted a good song to go with the film's storyline rather than it being included just to glamorize the film', says Bazmee.
CHECK OUT: WELCOME made Mallika 'Razia' However comparisons did begin after all with 'Razia' being keenly looked at as a number that could further ignite all the heat before the film releases in theaters. When asked about his personal preference and whether he was content with the manner in which this Mallika Sherawat song is finding good popularity for itself, Bazmee takes a neutral approach. 'I think 'Razia' has good lyrics and music and those who have heard the song have immensely liked it', he says, 'As a director all I can say is that yeh song kissi bhi aur gaane se upar ya phir neeche nahi hai. Iski apni identity hai.' Fair enough!
