Now Rani is dying to do an item number

With item numbers becoming a craze in Bollywood, it seems everyone wants to be part of these popular Bollywood statements. The latest to catch the item number flu is actress Rani Mukherji.

We hear that Rani, who is riding high on a renewed popularity wave post her successful film earlier this year, is dying to do an item song. Rani's wish is in keeping with the fact that Bollywood has realised that having item songs can boost a film's success manifold.

Now, we hear Rani is eagerly awaiting offers to do an item song and unfortunately for her nothing has materialised so far. According to reliable sources, "Rani is no longer playing it safe. Now, she wants to go full throttle with her film roles. From item songs to no-nonsense roles, Rani is trying to cash on the success of her last film before it runs out of steam. Rani's wish to do an item song is part of that strategy."

For all those who had written off Rani need to rest their case. The actress is not only back with bang, but is on a prowl too.
