Rakeysh Mehra: Film production is my creative greed

Coming Friday's release, TEEN THAY BHAI, is unique in many ways. The film marks iconoclastic director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's first film as a producer which is being directed by an outside director for his home production and sees the coming together of great actors of the caliber of Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade and Deepak Dobriyal and not to forget Divya Dutta.

While outlining the need to hire outside directors for his home production Rakeysh elaborated that it was his creative greed that made him take this step. Rakeysh added that it was nice to share somebody else's vision and become a part of a nice story as well.

Explaining his point further Rakeysh said that that since his nature is experimental and he cannot change it at this stage of his life, his foray into film production is not merely driven by finance and profit and loss but purely to satisfy his creative greed, and moreover, there are so many good stories that he wants to put on celluloid and for that he needs others to help him as he cannot direct all of them himself.

Without doubt Rakeysh has always delivered something unique and hatke for the viewers and we sure that with the impending success of TEEN THAY BHAI, his creative greed gets all the more fuelled so that we can get more entertaining and intellectually satisfying films.
