High Court gives nod for DUM MAARO DUM release

The producers of DUM MAARO DUM had the last laugh as the Goa High Court today, gave a green signal for the film's release. The court dismissed the Petition against the film.

The Honorable Judge found that there were no grounds on which to pass any Order based on the facts asserted in the Petition and the evidence placed on record in support of the Petition.

The Honorable Court considered the detailed Affidavit in Reply filed on behalf of the Producers and Distributors and agreed with the contention raised therein that no grounds have been made out for the grant of any of the prayers prayed in the Petition.

Therefore the Honorable Court has thought fit to permit the release of the film as scheduled on April 22nd.

A few days back, GSCW, Goa state women's commission made a complaint about a dialogue in the film, which they found bit insensitive to women. In the promos of the film, which are currently on air, there is a dialogue voice over on Goa saying 'Yahan sharab sasti, ladkiyan use bhi sasti aur zindigi toh muft mein hi bik jaati hai'.

Ministry of information and broadcasting had requested the makers of DUM MAARO DUM to make necessary changes and the makers had deleted the line in film and promo.
