Bipasha: Goa isn't entirely what it seems

DUM MAARO DUM may have constantly been in the eye of storm but that hasn't set Bipasha Basu on backfoot as yet. Though the film has been accused of showing Goa in a bad light, Bipasha continues to maintain that the treatment meted out to the film is as authentic as it gets. She also insists that while Goa does look beautiful from the exterior, there is a life beyond that as well as one moves into the interiors.

"Worldwide when someone thinks of Goa, he gets an impression of a heavenly place which is chilled out, relaxed and colourful with hippies, flowery dresses, beautiful bodies, beaches and sun. Of course that's true and we have shown all of that in our film as well. But no, this isn't all about Goa; there is more to that as well, something that we have brought on screen in DUM MAARO DUM", Bipasha drops a hint here.

Tell her that the general perception of an average tourist is that entire Goa is just the same all over as it looks from the outside and Bipasha is quick to dismiss the insinuation.

"This is an entirely wrong perception that you are carrying", she smiles, "There are parts of Goa which are owned by different personalities belonging to mixed races. In the film we have shown how Russians, Portuguese, Europeans and even Nigerians have been dominating the city. If you go to Goa and spend more than a fortnight there without looking at it as a tourist, you would realise it isn't entirely what it seems."

Well Bipasha, looking at the scary description, we would be better off being just a tourist or see the city on the big screen!
