New releases disappoint, SINGHAM & ZNMD keep rocking

It is the same story once again at the box-office with the new releases failing to achieve even a half decent start at the ticket window. The openings of CHALA MUSSADDI-OFFICE OFFICE, WARNING and I AM KALAM ranged from 5 to 10 percent with negligible improvement during the latter shows. Comparatively speaking I AM KALAM fared best at select multiplexes of metros but the performance is nothing to write home about.

Once again the two older releases, Ajay Devgn's super hit SINGHAM and Hrithik Roshan's hit plus ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA took the major chunk of the pie! While SINGHAM added 22-23 crores to get to about 72-73 crores in just two weeks, ZNMD saw another rock steady week by adding 12-13 crores thereby netting 76-77 crores in three weeks from India.
