Farhan in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's film?

After the success of ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA, Farhan is considering to play Milkha Singh in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's biopic on the ace Indian athlete titled BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG. The film is all set to go on floors next year.

He debuted as a director with DIL CHAHTA HAI and as an actor with ROCK ON. Multi-talented actor is not only known for his dashing looks, but is also known for direction, singing and acting.

Success of ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA has brought a lot of film makers knocking on his door for his acting skills. He was immensely appreciated for his acting skills in ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA.

He has put aside 20 days of his busy schedule (he would be starting with DON editing) to read scripts from outside his production house.

Farhan Akhtar has been most sought after since his debut in ROCK ON which became a cult movie. However this is the first time he is considering the film BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG.

The RANG DE BASANTI director, Mehra, first thought of making a film on the life of Milkha Singh in 2009.

Last year, while attending an international awards event in Toronto, he started toying with the idea of making the film in more than one language. Speaking to a section of the media, Mehra had then said, "Perhaps the spoken language will be one, and that would be what Milka speaks in real life, Punjabi, Hindi or English. But I'd like to make the film for a global audience."

Reports of Akshay Kumar being finalized for the role of THE FLYING SIKH made it to the headlines after the athlete himself expresses his wishes about the same.

Looks like Farhan has beaten the other actors in the race.

Close sources say, "Farhan is an extremely fit guy. He likes to do roles that challenge his acting skills to the maximum. To get into the character of Milkha Singh is not going to be easy either."

Mehra has neither confirmed nor denied the story. He was simply heard saying, "I am still finalizing the casting of BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG."
