Great start for THE DIRTY PICTURE!

As expected and predicted Balaji motion Pictures and ALT. Entertainment's THE DIRTY PICTURE has embarked upon a good to great start and it comes as no surprise.

Coming to the percentage crunching, the start at the multiplexes varied from 60-70 to even 90 percent at some places. And that must have come as shocker to the naysayers who were expecting the film to dominate just the single screens, based on the supposedly (? ? ?) sleazy contents. We can only say- Time to smell the coffee!

The single screens are obviously phenomenal, but even the multiplexes are doing good. Just to re-iterate, The DIRTY PICTURE is a sure shot hit because it has that potent mass plus class deal. The first day may well see the film netting around 9 crores from India.

While on the older release, Rohit Dhawan's DESI BOYZ has managed a 36-37 crore week (to be validated once numbers are declared), and with some luck may get near to 50 crore (from India) in the end run.
