Big B clarifies KBC 5 winner's payment issue

A huge speculation has been doing the rounds that the KBC season 5 winner, Sushil Kumar hasn't received the prize money yet. The entire issue emerged up when soon after the winning announcement the 27-year-old was flooded with various requests to share funds and donations. But Sushil Kumar reported to one of the tabloid that he has no money to donate as he still hasn't received the winning amount.

Owing to this, there started a much hullabaloo about the show KBC -5 and the channel and about their irregularity of paying the contestants on time.

But the host of the show Mr. Amitabh Bachchan clarified all the misconceptions saying that the cheque is already ready.

Big B tweeted, "People asking why Sushil Kumar not paid his KBC win .. cheque ready, but he wants it at CNNIBN Award ceremony in Delhi on 16th..."

He further adds, "Also as per terms and conditions of Sony, they have to pay within 60 days of on air broadcast... so still time for expiry!"
