Sudhir: I will 100% cast Chitrangada again

Sudhir Mishra is all set with his next directorial venture, YEH SAALI ZINDAGI and this time it's with her HAZAARON KHWAISHEIN AISI actress, Chitrangada Singh.

Ask him about why he has repeated Chitrangada Singh AFTER HAZAARON KHWAISHEIN AISI, and Sudhir says, "I have repeated Soha (Ali Khan) twice, I have worked with Kay Kay (Menon) twice, I have worked with my cameraman three times. Some people are comfortable and understand how I work. But the part has to suit them. After HAZAARON KHWAISHEIN AISI, I didn't cast her."

He further adds, "Chitrangada plays these real people with not so diabetic characters, women with layers, real women, with lots of grace and vulnerability. She gives lots of grace to rather complicated stories. There is a lot of depth in her performance. The part has to suit her. If the part works for her, I will 100% cast Chitrangada again."

Like many films released in recent past (DELHI 6, DO DOONI CHAAR, BAND BAAJA BAARAAT, NO ONE KILLED JESSICA) Mishra's YEH SAALI ZINDAGI is also set in New Delhi.

"It's a totally Delhi film. It's shot in Delhi, Karol Baug, Chadni Chowk, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida etc. The films was very close to Delhi characters. The way they speak, their language, and the semse of humuor was more appropriate to Delhi. I wanted to keep that tongue-in-cheek humour through the film," said the director.

Sudhir is glad that the film is having a good release.

"It's a relief that the film is releasing. It's releasing well, Prakash Jha is behind the film, actors are good, people are liking the film, the promos are creating a good buzz, music is very good...finally it seems things are on track, signed off the filmmaker on a positive note.
