Akshay: Mother-in-law & I are inseparable

For the first time in his two decade long career, Akshay Kumar would be sharing screen space with Dimple Kapadia in PATIALA HOUSE. Now that makes it special because while in real life Dimple Kapadia is Akshay Kumar's mother-in-law, on screen she would be playing his mother. Since this required the two to share quite some time with each other on the sets, one can't help but tease Akshay if having a mother-in-law around on workplace as well was intimidating, to say the least.

"Aah, you are so wrong", Akshay gives out a hearty laugh here, "On the contrary, mother-in-law and I are practically inseparable. I have more in common with my wife's mother than I do with my wife. While me and Tina (Twinkle Khanna) are incredible opposites, me & my mother-in-law are like two peas in pod."

Still, while on personal front one can understand the comfort level that the two shared, the situation is expected to be different on sets.

"I didn't really feel anything different actually because you are not shooting throughout the day in any case. There are breaks and we used them to the fullest," says Akshay who has Dimple Kapadia and Rishi Kapoor (who are reuniting after BOBBY, SAAGAR, PYAAR MEIN TWIST and LUCK BY CHANCE) for parents in the film.

And how did the breaks go?

"Well, during the entire schedule we played cards or fooled around on watching videos on the internet," he says, "Also, she taught me Sudoku while I took her to a thriller theme park with all the kids. In fact she went on more rides than I did, can you believe that?"

On a parting note, Akshay comments, "She is an incredibly fun lady and it would be nice if she was around in all my movies."
