There's no doubt that our home grown cinema is gaining popularity by the day especially beyond its lingual boundaries. A quick memory jog will remind how increasing number of films are impressing audiences globally and bringing home laurels that we had only dreamt of earlier.
Now, Vishal Bharadwaj's film 7 KHOON MAAF is increasingly being considered a new high point in Bollywood's game of bettering its own record. The narrative, the characters and the music of the film is making its cumulative pull in the direction of another laurel.
And the most vocal fan of this promise is none other than Priyanka Chopra's fifth husband in the film Annu Kapoor. Says he, "I think 7 KHOON MAAF is a masterpiece. The filmmaker, the actors, the banner; it has been a dream come true situation for me to be part of the film. I have no doubt that Vishal's latest cinematic piece is going to set a new standard in film craft. I wish Vishal wins an Oscar for this brilliant attempt. After all you don't see such kind of cinema so often."
Annu Kapoor is playing one of the crucial roles in 7 KHOON MAAF and his controversy with Priyanka Chopra over a lovemaking scene in the film has already made him one of the most publicised actors from the film. Let's hope the attention stays on for good reasons now.
